November/Decembre Favourites

Hey guys.. WOW! It’s been a longggg longgg time since I last blogged. I totally got distracted with other things in my life and I just wasn’t “feeling it”, even though I’ve had SO much I could of blogged about over the past few months I just didn’t… Mehh.. I’ve been in abit of a “Mehh” stage, but I’m OVER it!! And now ready and raring to go.
So what better way to start up with blogging again than to do a November/December favourites.

Here goes….

First of all,, I’ve recently died my hair from ombre to PURPLE… I used the “Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL” in “cyber purple” I wasn’t too happy with the result, you could see the purple in very bright light but that’s it, it didn’t really make much of an impact and it faded out soo quick, lituraly in the space of a week it had all washed out. So I went back to Superdrug to find another dye, I was going to strip my whole head using the “colour B4” and then dye it purple, but my hair is in pretty bad condition at the ends because I bleached it when I went ombre. So I just decided to use a different purple dye and see how that took. I picked up the “Colour vibrance” range from Superdrug in shade “cosmic purple”. It looks like this on my hair.

I LOVE it. It’s just the colour I wanted. Not too purple but not too brown, and it kind of has a pinky tinge to it which I love.

As I was walking to the till I thought maybe I should get a new shampoo so I decided to get the get the “TRESemme Colour Revitalise shampoo”

It was £2.45 at the time so I thought it was a bargin. Ive heard that TRESemme shampoo and leave the hair feeling heavy and greasy but this isn’t the case for me. It leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, and very shiny. Ive had my new hair dye on for a week now and it’s still as bright as ever. Hopefully it will last longer using this shampoo.

My second hair favourite is the HASK Argan oil from Primark at only £2.50!!! How have I not used this before now?!?...
My hair is thick, frizzy and dry at the ends, I hardly ever go for trims at the hairdressers, I know I know It’s really bad and I really should go get my poor hair trimmed but I HATE going to the hairdressers, they NEVER just give me a “trim” and I always walk out of the hairdressers feeling bald =( even though no one can ever tell I’ve got a trim so I hardly look bald,, but I feel it so that’s enough to put me off haha. But using this is my life saver, I use it after the shower when my hair is wet, put it all over the ends of your hair not the roots as it will weigh it down and leave it greasy. It smooth’s out my frizzy dry ends making my hair much more manageable to style and leaves it looking super shiny. It smells amazing too, it has an orange scent to it, and orange is my favourite scent. Yummy. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone, I still can’t believe I haven’t tried it sooner. I’m in LOVE.

My next favourite is The Body Shop Chocomania Shower cream. Mmmm this is one for all you chocolate lovers out there. It’s £4 for 250ml and lasts ages it’s really creamy and gives a great foam, the smell is amazing it lasts all day on the skin and leaves it feeling super soft.

Next is a new face product I’ve been using, if you read on my previous blog I love The Body Shop Tea Tree face range, It’s my go to facial wash I know what I’m getting when it comes to tea tree and I know it won’t bother my skin. But when I ran out I didn’t have time to go into my town and re purchase it, so instead I picked up the GARNIER Fresh Essentials gel wash.
I was very optimistic when using this I expected my skin to break out, but surprisingly it didn’t. It cleans my skin great and hasn’t left me with awful break outs; it’s really refreshing on my skin and very calming. I would recommend this to anyone with problematic skin like mine.

And last but not least… Sudocrem!!.
Now I know a lot of you will already be using this secret weapon on your skin but I’ve only just discovered this. When looking at the texture of Sudocrem I get scared and back away, I just think it’s too thick and creamy to put on my skin and it will end up having a tantrum and break me out, but to my surprise that was not the case. It leaves my skin feeling soft, as soft as a baby bum I only use this on a night and on my problem areas. So if a see or feel a spot brewing ill head to this, slop it on and overnight it will have dried it out. This stuff is amazing. But I know some people may not be lucky enough to be able to use tis on their skin, it may be too creamy for your skin to handle, so if using it for the first time I would say use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. Don’t overdo it.

Thanks so much for reading guys. I’m happy to be back =D

Much love… Lynz

The best face products EVER....

Hey ladies… It’s been a while I know and I’m very sorry butt I’ve been a busy bee with moving house and trying to make it feel like home etc. etc. etc.…. But I’ve finally got things sorted and now have time to sit down and actually write a blog.

As you lot may or may not know I have VERY temperamental skin, the slightest change in my skin care routine and my skin hates me! It breaks out really bad and I haven’t had perfectly clear skin for years now. I’m constantly trying the new “miracle” face washes that claim to give you clearer looking skin in three days PAHHH!! Please NONE of them work, well not for me any way!

Recently I’ve been using the Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity Foaming Face Wash, I was very lucky to receive the Soap & Glory gift set as a Christmas gift and this face wash came in the set so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’d really like to give a good review on this product as I love the Soap & Glory range but I felt a little deflated when using this; it claims to brighten your skin which it didn’t! It left my skin feeling tight and it didn’t foam as much as I expected, so overall it’s just an okay facial wash. Nothing special. And I doubt I’ll be repurchasing this.

So on a shopping trip with my friend I was ranting on about how I hate my skin at the minute and he recommended the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop… I used their facial wash once before about two years ago and I loved it! (Why I stopped using it I do not know!) So I popped into my local Body Shop and picked up a few things.

  1.     Tea Tree Facial Wash
I recommend everyone and anyone to buy this! This is the ONLY face wash that does NOT break me out it makes my skin look lovely and clear which I’ve wanted for so long. At £4.50 for 250ml it’s a bargain! (It’s now £3.37 on the body shop website!) I cannot for the life of me understand why I stopped using this face wash in the first place. I kind of feel mad at myself because I would never of had bad skin if id of kept using this product.

      2. Tea Tree Facial Toner

Also from the body shop at £4.50 Using both these products together has completely changed my skin for the better, I’m using less make up and I feel less self-conscious about my imperfections =) So I’m Happy Happy… It clears away my make-up and the daily dirt and grime and leaves my skin looking refreshed.

I also bought the Tea Tree Oil it’s a 10ml bottle for £6.50 (Now £4.87 on the body shop website) This stuff is amazing soon as I feel a bump under my skin I dab this on and the spot goes away it does not sting dry out the skin and its very
soothing.

So if you’re looking for something to help with your skin problems I’d 100 million percent recommend the body shops tea tree products over anything else! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Hope this helps anyone with problem skin =) ... Try it

Much Love... Lynz

Tuesday 6 March 2012

Hi all =D… Sooo I’ve  been wanting to do a big blog for a while now just to let you guys know the new products I’m loving in 2012, and there’s quite a lot so let’s get started.

My new mineral foundation love is by “Jelly pong pong”

It is a talc free formulation which gives great coverage without drying the skin it also has spf 15 init which is a bonus. For anyone who is looking for a new mineral foundation or even someone who has never tried mineral foundations before I would defiantly recommend this product. As you know (If you read my past blog) I have very temperamental skin I break out whenever I change my face routine which is why I’m very careful when trying out new foundations. After years of trying many different foundations (and I mean MANY) I finally found the one that suits me best … Minerals… It doesn’t clog my pores, break me out or leave me with a heavy make-up look.
I first tried Collection 2000 Perfecting Minerals Foundation which I loved, but to my dismay they discontinued it =( Booo… Then the mother told me to try Bare Minerals, so I decided to splash out and buy the starter kit (Id defiantly recommend trying that first) I know it’s quite expensive but it really does what it says on the tin. It covered all my imperfections and didn’t leave me with spotty skin Perfecto!.  But one day I was browsing on the internet at new make-up products as us ladies tend to do and I came across the Jelly Pong Pong website (http://www.jellypongpong.com) And I decided to try out there foundations. Its £15 so it’s about a tenner cheaper than bare minerals which was appealing to me as I love a bargain!... I ordered mine in medium and it’s perfect! Absolutely love it, I now prefer this to any other mineral foundations I’ve tried in the past, Its helped clear my skin and leaves it silky soft with a dewy glow =D YAY! I’ve finally got the skin I’ve been wanting for sooooo long.

Second on the list is the Nicola Roberts Dainty Doll Concealer Click Pen in Medium. Although it doesn’t give me the best coverage out of all the concealers I’ve tried in the past it’s still up there on my top 5. It’s a very light fluid texture and is very easy to glide along the face,  It’s also perfect for brightening and highlighting the skin, I use it mainly under my eyes to hid any dark circles I’m having that day or just to give my eyes that “pop” they need.

I’ve recently been using my Max Factor colour adapt foundation. I don’t normally wear foundation because I think concealer and my minerals work find for me, but the past few weeks I’ve been using this on the days I feel I either want to make that little bit more of an effort or I feel that my skin needs that extra coverage. Like I say I have very problematic skin so I tend to shy away from heavy thick foundations but I actually really like this product, the formula isn’t too thick but still gives me that coverage I look for, and it bends really well which is always a must. I went down to my local boots store and went to the Max Factor counter and got the lady to colour match me, I wear tan so she put it on my neck and the colour I was given was number 75 Golden I still dust over my mineral foundation over the top just to set it and make the colour match the rest of my body perfectly.

17 Photo Flawless Primer. This is the first ever primer I’ve used so I can’t really say I love it because that would be unfair to the other products out there …Buttttttttttt who cares! Because I LOVE IT!. I’m not too sure why I’ve never tried a face primer before =S I was one of those people who though that it wouldn’t actually work and that it was a waste of money blah blah blah… but seriously WOW how amazing are these things! I work two jobs and often go from one job strait to the other with no time to go over my make up to freshen up =( This use to be a right nightmare because when it came to 9pm, my face was patchy and shiny and yak! Which is really not a good look. But after trying this I’ve never had that problem you know when you have a 12 hour day at work and by the end of it your make up will look exactly the same as it did when you first left the house your on to a good thing.  Which is why I recommend this to the face primer virgins out there. It’s cheap as chips as well £4.99 from boots BARGAIN!
Any finally… Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic… The Mother introduced me to the Liz Earle products last Christmas when she kindly bought me the famous Cleanse and polish cleanser and the Brightening treatment mask both of which I enjoyed using I was also given the Skin Tonic in the set as well but never used that until this Christmas ( Im not sure why I never opened it =S Humm ) But I now use it every day as soon as I get out the shower, It has a lovely refreshing floral scent and is very cooling on the skin. It really does make my skin look and feel more alive.

There is still so much more I could write about but I’ll be here all night and no doubt you will end up clicking off and getting bored haha. So I’ve decided to do another blog on my other new loves later in the week =)…
I’d really like to hear about some of your new loves of 2012 or if you have used any of the products I’ve wrote about.

Thanks for reading ladies.

Much Love

Lynz

Forever 21....

Afternoon lovely ladies... What a lovely sunny Monday this has turned out to be, Although the weather is deceiving,, burrrr its still nippy out.

To make this lovely Monday even better I’ve just had a knock at the door and it was my Forever 21 package. YAY! Very fast delivery, I ordered on Friday morning before work and here it is =D… I absolutely LOVE forever 21 but because there isn’t a store near me I’ve never actually bought any of their things, so on Friday I finally decided to bite the bullet and order something from their website.

I seriously could have spent a fortune and a whole day looking through some of their things, Great value for money and some really pretty pieces, plenty of lovely summer clothes as well which makes me veryyyy happy.
I ordered a pretty orange sheer overlay dress (I wanted the blue but there was none in my size), I then ordered two skinny belts in blue and coral, Then I got found a lovely glittery blue bangle and a set of lovely gold and blue bangles.

Which came up to a total of…. Wait for it….. £20.51!!! … I opted for the express delivery (Just because I’m too impatient to wait) which was £4.95.

Im yet to try the dress on. I know it looks quite short in the picture but on the model who was 5"9 it was a nice length, and im only 5"5 so fingers crossed it looks fine =)... The dress is a size small and im a 8/10 girl (For those who wanted to know the size's theres a guide on the forever 21 website)

Well im off to try on my new things =D Yay Happy Happy.................

The next blog will  be soon i promise =) Im planning on doing a big one on all the new products ive tryed lately so that sould be fun.

Write to you soon ladies. Much Love
