Shower/Bath Time Products I’m loving right now!...

Hey guys, hope your all well.

The weather in the UK right now is horrendous, snowy, icy, cold, wet, miserable. Typical English weather. So I’m loving nothing more than to come home after work and jump in a hot bath or shower using some of my favourite bath time products.

My favourite two face cleansers at the minute are these two bad boys.
Yes you guessed it Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, which will always be one of my all-time favourite face essentials. I was lucky enough to receive the limited edition 150ml Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for Christmas and four new muslin cloths. I’ve been using Liz Earle for about two years or so and the change in my skin is unbelievable as you know I’ve got problematic skin blah blah, and since using this my skin has gotten incredibly clearer, I never get spots anymore (apart from those time of the month spots that there’s no getting away from.. Thanks Mother Nature you’re far too kind)
For those of you who are having trouble with your skin at the minute I would defiantly recommend this, now I know it’s quite pricey so if you’re on a bit of a budget but still want something that will clear your sink you should head down to your local Body Shop and pick up their tee tree range. That has never failed me and it’s what I used when my skin was at a really bad stage.

My next face cleanser that I’m using right now is the Soap&Glory Peaches and Clean.

This is a really nice cleanser to use, light weight and moisturizing and smells lovely. It’s a pleasure to use I rub it all over a damp face and I wash it off using one of my muslin cloths, although you don’t have to do this as it does not come with muslin cloths… I just choose too =).

Now let’s move on to the body scrubs... A fake tan wearer’s Holy Grail. I tend to exfoliate my body at least twice a week, sometimes more depending on how much tan I’ve got on. I use the St Moritz self-tanner and for those of you who wear fake tan you know how awful it looks when it’s time to scrub it off, patchy, flaky, and orange and YAK! These two scrubs are the best I’ve used up to now, and lord knows how many scrubs I have tried.

The first scrub is the Ted Baker Butterfly Wings Body Scrub I got this as part of a Ted Baker set for Christmas. The packaging is really cute and girly and the smell is amazing, it’s a mix of bergamot, red fruit, tuberose and patchouli… Yummm. The scrub itself is very refreshing and it leaves my skin feeling very smooth and silky and it gets rid of any dead skin and flaky tan marks which is perfect. I look for a really gritty texture when it comes to scrubs and this certainly does deliver on the grittiness.

The second and by far my favourite scrub has got to be the Soap&Glory Sugar Crush.

I adore everything about this product; form the packaging, to the smell which makes my mouth water every time I use it, to the grittiness and moisturizing benefits. It’s infused with “smashed brown sugar & sweet lime, Almond oil & Macadamia grains”. It’s made exfoliating more fun for me, I really enjoy using this product it goes on easy, not too harsh on my skin and it gets rid of all the dead skin cells lurking around, leaving my body not only looking but smelling great.

A little defiantly goes a long way when using this product, it’s quite thick and has lovely big grains, which like I said is what I look for in a scrub… Gritty!..

My two favourite shower gels I love at the minute are... Yes you guessed it… The Soap&Glory Clean On Me shower cream.

As all Soap&Glory products the smell is amazing and it’s super moisturizing. I squirt a tiny bit of the lovely thick cream onto my Body Polishing Sponge and it gives a lovely lather it feels so luxurious on my skin leaving it smelling great for hours after.

And finally..

The Body Shops Strawberry Shower Gel. I’m a sucker for anything fruity, fruity and fresh are my favourite scents so it’s safe to say I’m head over heels with this shower gel. It has a lovely tangy and sweet strawberry scent; it makes me want to eat it soon as I open the lid. Its soooo nice. I use it with my Body Polishing Sponge and like the Soap&Glory I only squirt on a tiny amount, it gives a lovely foam that you would expect from a shower gel so a little goes along way. I love using it.

Thanks for reading guys, hope it was some use to you =)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Hey Guys, here a quick review of the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation.

As you guys know if you’ve read some of my previous blogs my skin is really temperamental, it hates change. So I was a bit nervous and optimistic when trying out this product. I did sooo much research before buying it, reading people’s reviews and watching endless YouTube videos about the foundation. I did NOT want to get spots for just trying this product out. Any surprisingly I haven’t =D YESSSS SCORE!!! My skin loves this product just as much as I do.

I am a mineral foundation wearer, I like powders, I like matt, and hate shine. So why buy this product I hear you ask? Because I was desperate for a change!! My skin needed it, I needed it. I was sick of looking dull when wearing my bareMinerals, although I do love them and I’ve been using them for years now it was time for something new, and because of the cold weather here in the UK my skin was getting very dry while using the mineral foundation, and I did NOT want flaky skin!.

So I headed to my local boots store and picked up the Wake Me Up foundation, which is currently on offer at £5.99…Bargain!. I chose the shade True Nude, after trying them all out on my neck; I was determined to get the right shade. There are only 6 shades to choose from which is why I hate buying drug store foundation! There’s never a colour that suites my skin, either too yellow or too pink. But True Nude seemed to be a good match so off I went and bought it.

(I wear Medium Beige in my bareMineral foundation, so I’m a medium skin tone)

I apply this using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush which I adore! How I’ve gone years without using this brush is beyond me! It’s truly amazing and I’ll be doing another blog on my Real Techniques brushes very soon!!

As I’m a powder foundation lover I was expecting to hate hate hate this. I thought there’s no way this colour will look good on my skin, there’s no way it will give me good coverage, there’s no way it will stay on my skin all day, there’s no way it will not make me look mega shiny. There’s NO way I’m going to like this!! …. But I LOVE it!!! I’m really surprised that I’ve actually FINALLY, after many years of looking and trying different products, found a foundation that not only looks fantastic on my skin, but lasts, doesn’t look too shiny, covers my imperfections and doesn’t break me out!! And I can’t believe I actually stepped out the house without using powder! It may sound silly to you lot but for me it’s a big deal haha!

I’m mega happy that I’ve finally tried this out and I’m excited to find a lot more foundations that ill love =D

Thanks for reading.

And if you’ve used this please let me know how you got on. Or if you know of any other foundations like this that I may like to try.

November/Decembre Favourites

Hey guys.. WOW! It’s been a longggg longgg time since I last blogged. I totally got distracted with other things in my life and I just wasn’t “feeling it”, even though I’ve had SO much I could of blogged about over the past few months I just didn’t… Mehh.. I’ve been in abit of a “Mehh” stage, but I’m OVER it!! And now ready and raring to go.
So what better way to start up with blogging again than to do a November/December favourites.

Here goes….

First of all,, I’ve recently died my hair from ombre to PURPLE… I used the “Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL” in “cyber purple” I wasn’t too happy with the result, you could see the purple in very bright light but that’s it, it didn’t really make much of an impact and it faded out soo quick, lituraly in the space of a week it had all washed out. So I went back to Superdrug to find another dye, I was going to strip my whole head using the “colour B4” and then dye it purple, but my hair is in pretty bad condition at the ends because I bleached it when I went ombre. So I just decided to use a different purple dye and see how that took. I picked up the “Colour vibrance” range from Superdrug in shade “cosmic purple”. It looks like this on my hair.

I LOVE it. It’s just the colour I wanted. Not too purple but not too brown, and it kind of has a pinky tinge to it which I love.

As I was walking to the till I thought maybe I should get a new shampoo so I decided to get the get the “TRESemme Colour Revitalise shampoo”

It was £2.45 at the time so I thought it was a bargin. Ive heard that TRESemme shampoo and leave the hair feeling heavy and greasy but this isn’t the case for me. It leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, and very shiny. Ive had my new hair dye on for a week now and it’s still as bright as ever. Hopefully it will last longer using this shampoo.

My second hair favourite is the HASK Argan oil from Primark at only £2.50!!! How have I not used this before now?!?...
My hair is thick, frizzy and dry at the ends, I hardly ever go for trims at the hairdressers, I know I know It’s really bad and I really should go get my poor hair trimmed but I HATE going to the hairdressers, they NEVER just give me a “trim” and I always walk out of the hairdressers feeling bald =( even though no one can ever tell I’ve got a trim so I hardly look bald,, but I feel it so that’s enough to put me off haha. But using this is my life saver, I use it after the shower when my hair is wet, put it all over the ends of your hair not the roots as it will weigh it down and leave it greasy. It smooth’s out my frizzy dry ends making my hair much more manageable to style and leaves it looking super shiny. It smells amazing too, it has an orange scent to it, and orange is my favourite scent. Yummy. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone, I still can’t believe I haven’t tried it sooner. I’m in LOVE.

My next favourite is The Body Shop Chocomania Shower cream. Mmmm this is one for all you chocolate lovers out there. It’s £4 for 250ml and lasts ages it’s really creamy and gives a great foam, the smell is amazing it lasts all day on the skin and leaves it feeling super soft.

Next is a new face product I’ve been using, if you read on my previous blog I love The Body Shop Tea Tree face range, It’s my go to facial wash I know what I’m getting when it comes to tea tree and I know it won’t bother my skin. But when I ran out I didn’t have time to go into my town and re purchase it, so instead I picked up the GARNIER Fresh Essentials gel wash.
I was very optimistic when using this I expected my skin to break out, but surprisingly it didn’t. It cleans my skin great and hasn’t left me with awful break outs; it’s really refreshing on my skin and very calming. I would recommend this to anyone with problematic skin like mine.

And last but not least… Sudocrem!!.
Now I know a lot of you will already be using this secret weapon on your skin but I’ve only just discovered this. When looking at the texture of Sudocrem I get scared and back away, I just think it’s too thick and creamy to put on my skin and it will end up having a tantrum and break me out, but to my surprise that was not the case. It leaves my skin feeling soft, as soft as a baby bum I only use this on a night and on my problem areas. So if a see or feel a spot brewing ill head to this, slop it on and overnight it will have dried it out. This stuff is amazing. But I know some people may not be lucky enough to be able to use tis on their skin, it may be too creamy for your skin to handle, so if using it for the first time I would say use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. Don’t overdo it.

Thanks so much for reading guys. I’m happy to be back =D

Much love… Lynz

The best face products EVER....

Hey ladies… It’s been a while I know and I’m very sorry butt I’ve been a busy bee with moving house and trying to make it feel like home etc. etc. etc.…. But I’ve finally got things sorted and now have time to sit down and actually write a blog.

As you lot may or may not know I have VERY temperamental skin, the slightest change in my skin care routine and my skin hates me! It breaks out really bad and I haven’t had perfectly clear skin for years now. I’m constantly trying the new “miracle” face washes that claim to give you clearer looking skin in three days PAHHH!! Please NONE of them work, well not for me any way!

Recently I’ve been using the Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity Foaming Face Wash, I was very lucky to receive the Soap & Glory gift set as a Christmas gift and this face wash came in the set so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’d really like to give a good review on this product as I love the Soap & Glory range but I felt a little deflated when using this; it claims to brighten your skin which it didn’t! It left my skin feeling tight and it didn’t foam as much as I expected, so overall it’s just an okay facial wash. Nothing special. And I doubt I’ll be repurchasing this.

So on a shopping trip with my friend I was ranting on about how I hate my skin at the minute and he recommended the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop… I used their facial wash once before about two years ago and I loved it! (Why I stopped using it I do not know!) So I popped into my local Body Shop and picked up a few things.

  1.     Tea Tree Facial Wash
I recommend everyone and anyone to buy this! This is the ONLY face wash that does NOT break me out it makes my skin look lovely and clear which I’ve wanted for so long. At £4.50 for 250ml it’s a bargain! (It’s now £3.37 on the body shop website!) I cannot for the life of me understand why I stopped using this face wash in the first place. I kind of feel mad at myself because I would never of had bad skin if id of kept using this product.

      2. Tea Tree Facial Toner

Also from the body shop at £4.50 Using both these products together has completely changed my skin for the better, I’m using less make up and I feel less self-conscious about my imperfections =) So I’m Happy Happy… It clears away my make-up and the daily dirt and grime and leaves my skin looking refreshed.

I also bought the Tea Tree Oil it’s a 10ml bottle for £6.50 (Now £4.87 on the body shop website) This stuff is amazing soon as I feel a bump under my skin I dab this on and the spot goes away it does not sting dry out the skin and its very
soothing.

So if you’re looking for something to help with your skin problems I’d 100 million percent recommend the body shops tea tree products over anything else! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Hope this helps anyone with problem skin =) ... Try it

Much Love... Lynz
